Deep Roots. Bold Sounds. Boundless Connections.
WOMEX: An International Hub for Music
WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo) is one of the leading international gatherings for folk, traditional and world music. It brings together artists, concert presenters, festival programmers, booking agents, producers and other music industry professionals for a trade fair, showcases, conferences and networking events. It is a prime opportunity to discover talent, build partnerships, explore new markets and plan international tours.
Folquébec: 25 Years of Presence and Support
Since 2001, FolQuébec has championed Québec’s folk, traditional and world music at WOMEX, where tradition meets innovation and lasting professional relationships are built.
From October 21 to 25, 2026, FolQuébec will bring together and support a delegation of Québec agencies and artists in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, reflecting the diversity, creativity and bold spirit of our music scene. Its shared Booth L9 will be a meeting point for international professionals eager to discover artists, connect with their representatives and explore new collaborations.
Through its promotional tools, expertise and network of partners, Folquébec supports artist representation, facilitates business meetings and helps develop new touring markets. Its goal is to turn conversations into lasting partnerships, performance bookings and new opportunities for international touring.

This is a valuable opportunity for international presenters and festival programmers to experience the energy, virtuosity and bold creativity of this ensemble at the forefront of Québec’s traditional music revival.
The showcase adds to Québec’s collective presence and supports the group’s international development efforts.

The Northern Turtle Island Collective at WOMEX 2026
Joining forces to bring our music to the world.
At WOMEX 2026, FolQuébec renews its collaboration with organizations brought together under the Northern Turtle Island Collective (NTI), including Mundial Montréal, Small World Music, Sunfest and Folk Canada. Together, these partners pool their networks, resources and promotional initiatives to strengthen the international presence of artists and music professionals from Québec and across Canada.
This collaboration takes shape through shared exhibition spaces, professional meetings, networking receptions and live showcases. A highlight is the B2BBQ + showcases held on the eve of WOMEX, bringing people together in a welcoming, informal atmosphere.
Beyond raising artists’ visibility, the collective aims to spark new connections and collaborations, strengthen ties between markets and open doors to international performance opportunities.
